Drop a live incident summary onto your municipal site with one line of HTML — an iframe scoped to your city or region, refreshing every ~10 minutes and linking through to the full map.

Community reports, moderated
Residents submit what they see — a washout, a smell of smoke, a blocked road. Reports are community-verified through confirm/resolve/flag voting, and a moderator override queue lets us (or you) hide anything inappropriate.

The same normalized feed is public infrastructure: a GeoJSON API, per-city Atom feeds and an MCP server for AI tools — free to use with attribution. Your open-data or GIS team can build on it from day one.

What CityAlert is — and isn't
- An awareness layer, not a mass-notification system. It shows residents what's happening near them, continuously — it doesn't replace WEA/IPAWS, sirens or your SMS/phone-tree tool.
- Resident alerts are email-based today; SMS and push channels are on the roadmap, not shipped.
- In regions without incident-level official feeds, some incidents are derived from media reports and are approximate — labelled as such on the map.
- Residents are always directed to official channels — 911, NWS, local authorities — for emergencies.

Does CityAlert replace our mass-notification system?
No — and we don't claim to. CityAlert is an always-on awareness layer: it shows residents what's happening near them, all the time, for every category of incident. Broadcast-intrusive alerting (WEA/IPAWS, phone trees, SMS blasts) stays with your existing tools. Most cities find CityAlert answers the question residents ask between emergencies — 'what's going on near me?' — at a fraction of the cost.
How fast can we launch?
If your city is already covered by our feed network — most US metros are — a branded page and embed widget can be stood up in days. If your area needs new feeds — a local police portal, a county dispatch feed — we scope that during onboarding.
Where does our data live?
The platform runs on US-region cloud infrastructure. Subscriber emails are the only resident PII we store; watch areas are anonymous polygons. Procurement-friendly: annual license payable by card or invoice.
Can we pay without a procurement process?
Yes — the annual license is available for immediate purchase by card through our hosted checkout. For cities that need a PO or invoice, email us and we'll bill annually instead.
