The map itself is free — CityAlert normalizes 262 public feeds across 74 focus cities and the whole planet, and that stays open. Paid plans fund the pipeline: more watch areas and real-time delivery for residents, higher request volumes for developers, and white-label deployments for municipalities.

Frequently asked questions

Is the live map really free?

Yes — the map, every feed layer and all city pages are free with no account. You only need an account to save watch areas and receive alerts; the free plan covers 4 areas with a daily digest email.

How do I cancel Pro?

Any time, from your account page — the Stripe billing portal handles cancellations, plan switches and receipts. Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the paid period; your watch areas stay saved on the free plan.

How do I get an API key?

Email contact@cityalert.live (or use the contact page) with a sentence about your use case — keys are issued per plan within a day. The free tier needs no sales call; it exists so researchers and hobby projects can build on the same feed the map uses.
