Live Emergency Alerts Map — Evacuations, AMBER & Civil Alerts

CityAlert's emergency-alert layer tracks the messages official alerting authorities actually broadcast: evacuation orders and alerts, shelter-in-place directives, civil emergency and law-enforcement warnings, telephone-outage notices, and AMBER/Silver missing-person alerts issued through alerting channels. In the US these ride the National Weather Service's CAP feed — the same wire that carries non-weather emergencies — and in Canada they come from provincial CAP feeds like Alberta Emergency Alert. Every alert links back to the issuing authority so you can read the official text.

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of alerts appear on this page?

Official public-safety alerts: evacuation orders and alerts, shelter-in-place directives, civil emergency and law-enforcement warnings, 911/telephone-outage notices, and missing-person alerts like AMBER and Silver alerts when they're issued through alerting channels.

Which areas have emergency-alert coverage?

The United States has nationwide coverage via the National Weather Service's CAP feed, which carries civil emergency, evacuation, shelter-in-place and missing-person event types. Canada is covered by provincial CAP feeds — currently Alberta Emergency Alert, with more provinces being added.

Does this replace Alert Ready or WEA phone alerts?

No — CityAlert is an awareness layer. Broadcast-intrusive alerts (Alert Ready in Canada, WEA in the US) remain the authoritative channel; this page exists so you can see active alerts on a map and link back to the issuing authority's full text.

Why don't I see an alert I received on my phone?

Some alerting authorities publish public feeds and some don't — WEA messages sent only to phones, for example, may not appear in a web feed. Coverage grows as more official feeds are added.
